100 People are Reporting Dog Bite Injuries Every Week that Require Emergency Treatment

There are 100 dog attacks a week that lead to emergency 999 calls for treatment the Mirror revealed today.
Over 5000 incidents in England and Wales needed paramedic crews because of dog bites by out of control dogs last year.
Of those 5000 those who required urgent treatment included pensioners and babies.
This news has been revealed as the Government are looking into tougher penalties for dog owners who’s pets inflict fatal injuries.
The current law means that they can be put in prison for 2 years maximum and they cannot be prosecuted if the attack occurs on private property.
