Fitbit Exercise Activity Tracker Recalled After Complaints of Skin Irritation
Fitbit have recalled their “Force” activity tracker after a number of users have complained about skin complaints including rashes itching and even burns.
The $130 tracker which was available to purchase in the UK is a silicon wristband which sensors and measures motion targeted at people looking to increase their fitness and lose weight. The tracker calculates the number steps amount of calories burned and sleep patterns of the user then syncs this data to a computer or smartphone.
The product was launched in November 2013 and within weeks users started to complain about skin problems. Fitbit have conducted an investigation and decided to stop selling the product.
