iPad Air Explodes and Catches Fire

A Brand New iPad Air exploded and caught on fire in an Australian mobile phone store.
The iPad Air caught fire and the smoke was so strong that the shop had to be evacuated and the fire brigade had to fight the smoke and sparks emanating from the device
Apple products have already attracted attention after reports of injuries from exploding iPhones.
A spokesperson for Vodafone said a ‘bust of flames’ appeared from the charging port of the brand new iPad Retina demonstration model Sydney’s Daily Telegraph reported.
The store rapidly filled with smoke and the firemen quickly tried to put out the fire.
No one was injured in the fire and it has been suggested that because of how the iPad frame looked it was suffering from extreme heat.
Allegedly an Apple representative went to the shop to collect the iPad for an investigation into what caused the explosion.
