Boots Recall Their Own Brand Medicines After a Manufacturing Fault May Have Left Pieces of Plastic in Some of the Medicines

Boots found that there was a manufacturing fault with the tamper seal on some of their medicines which means that some pieces of plastic may have got in to the liquid medicines.
The products affected are;
Boots Pharmaceuticals Chesty Cough Relief 100mg/5ml Oral Solution
Boots Pharmaceuticals Dry Cough Relief Oral Solutions
Boots Pharmaceuticals Mucus Cough Relief 100mg/5ml Oral Solution
Boots Pharmaceuticals Paracetamol 6 years Plus 100mg/5ml Oral Solution
Boots Pharmaceuticals Ibuprofen 3 Months plus 100mg/5ml Oral suspension Strawberry flavour
Boots have not received any reports from clients who have purchased the medicines since September 2013. They are asking customers to return to the stores for a refund or replacement item.
They have issued an apology following this notice.
‘We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause our customers and would like to offer our reassurances that these actions are taken as a precaution while we fully investigate the situation.’
