The newest suggestion to beat stress at work is all about the ‘power pose’ the pose is meant to aid in lowering stress levels and helping with confidence.
The pose which is aimed at women to boost testosterone is meant be ‘a match for the men in the office?’ as said in the Daily Mail.
To do the pose you have to stand with your legs spread out your hands on your hips and then raise your chin and keep it there for two minutes.
NBC News has reported that women experienced a 20% testosterone rise and around 25% cortisol decrease.
Some psychologists have said that they felt the management of these hormones is responsible for confidence and anxiety respectively and could aid in closing the gender gap in the countries executive roles.
The power posing technique designed to improve stress at work amongst other things was initially shown by Harvard Business School social psychologist Amy Cruddy.
NBC have said that some of the top U.S. business leaders have shown very low cortisol levels and high levels of testosterone.
