UK Stress Levels are Rising Because of People’s Difficulty to Cope With Their Work-life Balance

Heavy workloads are causing increasing stress levels with 60% of workers finding it hard to leave work in the office according to research.

The research conducted by health care provider Medicash surveyed 1000 working parents in the UK to see if they felt that they could maintain the balance.
The research revealed that 43% of people from Birmingham felt that they had the worst work-life balance following them were London with 39% and Liverpool and Manchester candidates tied with 36% of people believing that they had the worst balance.
Those who felt that they had the best balance between their home and work life lived in Glasgow with 83% of participants thinking they maintained a good equilibrium 75% of people from Norwich and 69% of people who worked in the arts and culture sector 69% also felt that they had a good balance.
The people who were surveyed were also asked about how they felt about their long work hours 23% of those in the professional services felt guilty about it.
