Woman Scarred for Life and Left with Weeping Sores after Permanent Lip Filler Became Infected

41-year-old Stacey Hohn from London suffered with infected lumps all over her face after she was injected with permanent lip filler.
Ms Hohn originally used non-permanent lip plumpers before opting for the permanent filler. She was then offered to have an irreversible injection for £700.
She told the Daily Mail: ‘Because it was so expensive I didn’t expect them to inject anything bad into my face.’
Stacey was initially happy with the results but seven years after she had the treatment she started getting lumpy sores on her lips that leaked pus.
The lumps then broke out all over her face as the filler moved through the fatty tissues in her face.
She revisited the surgeon who had initially administered the injections to ask him to help her. He then injected in the lumps an anti-inflammatory which Ms Hohn described as ‘extremely painful.’
She said that the lumps on her face ‘were as hard as rocks’ and told the Daily Mail.
‘What’s left in my face is hard plastic and hence my body is rejecting it and pushing it out.’
Ms Hohn had to have surgery to remove the plastic-filled lumps which she says has now helped her confidence.
